Marching Band & Color Guard
The CHS Marching Warriors are an award-winning 4A program including marching band and color guard. We work hard and we have a lot of fun while doing it! We're one of the largest bands in BVSD, and are 5-time State Champions. There are so many benefits to participating in band - high school students can develop a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and creativity, all while learning to play a cool instrument!
The Marching Warriors participate in two parades every year: the Louisville Labor Day Parade and the Louisville Parade of Lights. We also compete in several marching band competitions in October, culminating with the Colorado Band Masters Association State Championship. And we entertain fans at CHS home football games in the fall.
We also take trips to perform outside Colorado regularly. The Marching Warriors have performed in New York City (2011), Hawaii (2014), Boston (2017), and Walt Disney World in Orlando (2023). The band will travel to Germany and Austria in the spring of 2026!
Plus, every year you participate in marching band, you earn PE credits, waiving most of your graduation requirements for PE.
Listen to members of the CHS Marching Warriors and Color Guard talk about what it's like to be in band.
